We try to optimize everyone’s investments in travel expenses, so many of our classes that are open to all students are held at pre-existing events such as the York Rite Conferences. Attendance at a class session is a requirement for this course, and you will find below a list of the upcoming Applications of Group Dynamics classes available.
The two steps to this lesson are to:
- Enroll in the class.
- Register for the event associated (and lodging – though we don’t need to verify that).
FAQs
Am I required to register for the conference?
Yes, all participants are required to register with the conference / event.
The York Rite Leadership program does not handle event registrations, meals, lodging, or any logistics regarding event hosting unless specifically mentioned.
Do I have to pay the registration fee?
Yes. The York Rite Leadership Program is a guest of the host organization(s) who are running the event. The fees charged ensure that the event happens; and more to the point, that we have a classroom environment setup appropriately.
The instructor has the final say on who is in the class and if credit is given. Generally, there are no ‘audits’ or guests attending. If you have a special case, please speak with the instructor.
What happens if I can’t make it?
Life happens. If you have a situation that will prevent you from attending, go to My Account > My Events and remove yourself from the class roster. Just select the class and select ‘Delete’.
Each class has material prepared and shipped to account for each student. No call / no show to classes is not good leadership practice and may result in being removed from the program.
